Hiya is primarily a spam call blocker app that detects fraud and allows you to report scammers. While Hiya offers a reliable robocall blocking algorithm, it does not offer the personal and business services that come with YouMail. Not only does YouMail stop spam calls and work with authorities to put spammers out of business, it also gets you taken off of spam lists, so you can get back to doing the things you love.

Hiya requires a credit card for its 7-day free trial before rolling into a premium plan for mobile use, which costs $2.99 per month on iOS only.

YouMail keeps the user in mind by offering multiple features on our free plan, which offers basic call blocking and other great features, in addition to premium plans for both personal (Plus) and business (Essentials, Complete, and Ultimate) use.

Hiya makes money off of its paid plan, since the free trials end and everyone ends up paying.

To remove Hiya from your iPhone:

  1. Exit the app and long-press the app icon
  2. An “x” will appear in one corner. Tap the “x” to completely uninstall

If you are still having issues after uninstalling Hiya you might have to reinstall the app and then try these steps:

  1. Disable Hiya in the iPhone Settings (Settings > Phone > Call Blocking & Identification)
  2. Force-quit Settings
  3. Uninstall Hiya
  4. Restart your device

Hiya can be removed from your Android device like any Android app:

  1. Go to your phone’s Settings panel
  2. Choose the App Manager
  3. Tap Hiya
  4. Tap the Uninstall button

Or, uninstall via the Google Play Store:

  1. Open Google Play Store and search for “Hiya”
  2. Tap Uninstall on the app’s page

Then, sign up for YouMail since we block your calls and offer other great features for free.

Hiya does offer spam call blocking, but protecting you from scammers and shutting down robocallers is YouMail’s #1 priority. YouMail’s robocall blocking technology blocks spammers looking to steal your identity. From our free services to paid plans, YouMail reports illegal calls to carriers, enterprises, and the authorities, so they can locate, take down, and punish the callers.

YouMail offers more features than Hiya on both free and premium plans, such as spam call detection and blocking, voicemail transcriptions via email, in app, or text, caller ID, call screening, high voicemail storage and transcription limits, and other features such as additional second lines, auto attendant, and after hours settings if that’s what you’re looking for.
