Posing as a “delivery” company, scammers call stating that they need to validate your address and other information to deliver an ‘urgent’ document.

Also, keep in mind that real document deliveries don’t need your signature OR a witness for a “certified notice of INTENT for a pending legal claim” either they filed or intend to. What you should do
Let’s set the record straight. Delivery service companies (FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc) and private couriers rarely call prior to delivering a package or letter. So, if you receive a call like this, don’t worry. Delete the message, and DO NOT call them back. This is a SCAM.

The best thing you can do is ignore all calls from numbers you don’t recognize. Let it go to voicemail. It’s really your best defense against robocallers and scammers.
