What You Should Know

Posing as a "delivery" company, scammers call stating that they need to validate your address and other information to deliver an 'urgent' document.

Here are actual voicemails left for YouMail customers. Remember, it's meant to frighten you into returning the call and providing personal information. Don't do it! You don't get courtesy calls if you're really being sued. Also, keep in mind that real document deliveries don't need your signature OR a witness for a "certified notice of INTENT for a pending legal claim" either they filed or intend to. Real process servers DO NOT warn you, they just show up and serve you.

What you should do

Let's set the record straight. Delivery service companies (FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc) and private couriers rarely call prior to delivering a package or letter. So, if you receive a call like this, don't worry. Delete the message, and DO NOT call them back. This is a SCAM.
