How are my voicemails transcribed, are people listening to my voicemails?

The transcriptions are done through an automatic process that attempts to understand the words echoed in the voicemail. There are no humans involved so your voicemail is completely private. We offer the ability to rate your transcripts because the transcriptions are not always perfect, and YouMail wants to know how we are doing. As a user, you can tell us when it works well or when it works poorly, and you can even supply corrections where YouMail misunderstood. Those corrections are fed back into the transcription service, improving its understanding, and leading to better transcriptions in the future.
