YouMail sends me too many e-mails and txt messages - how do I fix that?
By default, YouMail sends you a txt message telling you who left each voicemail, as well as an e-mail copy.
You can change this behavior by:
- Going to alert settings. You can turn off the SMSs or e-mails if you don't need both (however, you should leave one on, or you won't know about new voicemails unless you're running one of the YouMail mobile applications on your phone).
- Or if you're using the YouMail Blackberry application, you can hit the menu key, select settings, and then adjust SMS or e-mails there. That application uses SMS or e-mails to know when there's a new voicemail and pull it to the phone, or it will poll YouMail every 5-10 minutes or so - so it's OK to turn both off, if you don't mind waiting.
