How do I change my transcription settings?
To change your transcription settings:
- Click on the My Account link at the top right menu.
- Click on the Transcriptions link.
- To set your transcription plan's status:
- Your transcription plan is automatically set to "Enabled".
- If you do not want your messages to be transcribed, you can set it to "Disabled". None of your message will be transcribed once you set your transcription to "Disabled".
Disabling your transcription does not cancel your transcription plan.
You can re-enable it at any time to have your messages transcribed again.
- You can change your transcription settings depending on your plan as follows:
- Transcription Delivery:
- Text Only: You will only receive a text alert with transcribed messages.
- Email Only: You will receive voicemail notifications with transcription when you get transcribed voicemail messages. You will not receive a transcription text alert.
You must have your email notification ON on the My Alerts page.
You will not receive 2 email notifications, the transcription will be included in the voicemail notification. - TXT and Email: You will receive text and email transcription alerts when you your message is transcribed.
This is available to all transcription plans.
You must have your email notification set to ON on the My Alerts page in order to include transcription in the voicemail message notification.
The email delivery option is only available to Read-It Select plans. - TXTs To Send: You can select to receive up to 4 text alerts for each transcribed message. Only the first part
of the transcribed message that fits into the number of text
messages specified will be sent.
This field is only displaying if Text Only or Text and Email delivery is selected.
The Free and the Read-It Txt Basic Plans can only receive 1 trascription text message. - Transcribe Voicemails From:
- Anyone: It will transcribe messages from all your callers.
This is NOT available to Read-It Free Favorite plan. - Any Contacts: It will only transcribe messages from callers who are in your contacts list.
This is NOT available to Read-It Free Favorite plan. - A Single Contact Only: It will only transcribe messages from the contact you selected from the
"Select
Contact" dropdown.
This is available to all transcription plans.
- Anyone: It will transcribe messages from all your callers.
- Select Contact: Select your contact from the list who you would want the messages to be transcribed.
It will only transcribe messages from your selected contact.
This option is only available if you selected A Single Contact Only from the "Transcribe Voicemails From" dropdown. - Transcription Preference:
- Faster Delivery: This transcribes messages less accurately but delivers transcribed
messages faster.
This is available to all transcription plans. - Most Accurate: This transcribes messages more accurately but delivery of transcribed messages
is slower (slow but sure).
This is available to paid transcription plans only.
- Faster Delivery: This transcribes messages less accurately but delivers transcribed
messages faster.
- Add "Speak Clearly":
- ON: Will play "Please speak clearly..." after the greeting is played to callers who are setup
in the "Transcribe Voicemails
From" field.
It helps improve the accuracy of the message transcriptions if your callers speak clearly to callers who are setup in the "Transcribe Voicemails From" field. - OFF: It will not play "Please speak clearly..." after the greeting is played.
- ON: Will play "Please speak clearly..." after the greeting is played to callers who are setup
in the "Transcribe Voicemails
From" field.
- Transcription Usage:
- You can view your current transcription usage in the box under the "User Transcriptions" field.
- The number of your transcription usage is decreased by 1 each time you have a transcribed message.
- Your transcription usage is reset to 0 on the renewal date.
We currently do not roll-over unused transcriptions. - Your plan starts immediately at the date of purchase and is automatically renewed each month charged to the same credit card you used.
- You can cancel your transcpription subscription at any time on the My Orders page by clicking on the linked order #. Your transcription plan's status will be Inactive once it's cancelled and none of your transcription will be transcribed anymore.

is selected. *Transcribe from "All callers" means that plan has an option to transcribe messages from all callers, from any contacts, or from 1 contact only. *Must select a contact if message is to be transcribed from a single contact only. NOTE:Your text alert settings on the My Alerts page does not affect your transcription text alert settings. If your voicemail text alert is set to ON on the My Alerts page and your transcription text alert is OFF, you will not receive a text alert when someone leaves you a voicemail but you will receive a text alerts with transcribed messages. |
