How do I setup my text and email alerts when I receive a new voice message?

To setup your alerts:

1. Click on the My Account link at the top right menu.
2. Click on the My Alerts link in the My Account menu section.

To setup your text alert:

1. Choose all or any of the following when you would want to receive text alert:
   • When I Get a Voicemail: To receive text alert when you receive a voice message.
   • When A Caller is Ditched: To receive text alert when you receive a call from a ditched phone number.
   • When I Get a HangUp: To receive a text alert when caller hangs up in the middle of the greeting.
2. Select additional information you would want to be included in your text alerts:
   

   	This option is only available if at least 1 Text Alert option above is selected.

   • the date and time of the call: To include the date and the time the call is made.
   • the caller's city and state: To include the caller's city and state based on the caller's area code.

     	This option is not be available if "a link so I can see the message on my phone" is selected.

   • the caller's cellphone company: To include the caller's cellphone carrier.
   • a link so I can see the message on my phone: To include a link of the message.

     	This option is only available for WAP capable cellphones.




Your text messaging plan is applied each time YouMail sends you a text message alert for new voicemail message. Your voicemail text alert settings does not affect you transcription alert settings. If you set your voicemail alert to OFF and you have your transcription alert set to ON, you will not receive a voicemail text alert when you receive a message but you will receive text alerts with transcribed messages.

To setup your email alert:

1. Select all or any of the following when you would want to receive email alert:
• Send me an Email: To receive email notification when you receive a voice message.
• HTML Email: To receive email notification in HTML format.

  	HTML email notification can be optimized in most WAP capable cell phones such as iPhone and Blackberry to better display the voicemail notification on your phone's screen.

• Plain Text Email: To receive email notification in Plain Text format.
• When I Get a HangUp: To receive email notification when caller hangs up in the middle of the voicemail greeting.
2. Attach the audio message in the notification as: (if audio attachment is preferred)
   • WAV
   • MP3
3. Click on the [Save Changes] button.
