I have a new phone number, how do I set it up in YouMail?
To add your new phone number to your existing account:
- Click on the My Account link at the upper right corner of the screen.
- Click on the My Phones link at left menu.
- Click on the 'Add a new phone to my account' link above your current phone's image.
- Enter a nickname for your new phone.
- Enter your new phone number.
- Click on the [Next] button.
- If you're adding a cell phone number:
- The activation code will be sent to your cell phone.
- Check the activation code in your cell phone.
- Enter the activation code that is sent to your cell phone.
- If you're adding a land line phone number:
- Click on the 'dial a special number' link to view the access phone number to activate your land line phone.
- Dial 1-424-202-6868.
- You will hear a message confirming that that phone number you entered has been verified.
- Click on the [Complete Activation] button.
- Select your phone model.
- If none of the phone model displaying does not match your phone:
- Click on the 'select a different manufacturer' link.
- Select the closest phone model that matched your phone.
- Select "Other"" if none matched your phone.
- Click on the [Continue] button.
- Follow the instructions on how to forward your messages to YouMail.
- Click on the [Next] button then click on [Done] when you're finished with the forwarding setup.
- Your new phone is now added to your YouMail account.
- Click on the 'Make New Phone my default phone number' link at the right of your new phone if you want your new phone to be your default phone.
After you have added your new phone number and set it as your default phone, you can remove your old phone from
your YouMail account.
To remove your old phone number from your YouMail account:
- Click on the My Account link at the upper right corner of the screen.
- Click on the My Phones link at left menu.
- Click on the 'Remove this phone from my account' link at the right of your old phone.
