App World Error - 'Unavailable for this device'


Customers have reported they cannot see the YouMail application on the App World. We've had some communication with RIM and below are some of the reasons for the error.

1. You bought an unlocked phone from a wireless dealer where the vendor ID stored on the device is not associated with T-Mobile, AT&T, Sprint or Verizon. You can check the vendor ID by pressing ALT+CAP+H (simultaneously). For a list of vendor ID's go to http://forums.pinstack.com/f8/complete_list_of_vendor_id-99630/
2. The current version of App World doesn't allow you access to certain applications. Please make sure you have upgraded App World to the most current version.
3. The YouMail application is not compatible with your device - This not always true as issue #1 and #2 can very well be the reason for the possible error.

Please note YouMail does not control access to applications and we have no control on whether or not your device can access our application from the BlackBerry App World. If you have further questions you can contact RIM directly.
